“I’m really working on it this time,” T-boz said followed by a laugh when asked when the album can be expected. The album is years in the making for T-boz, who is no stranger to releasing solo material, under her belt is past collaborations on songs with Da Brat, Keith Sweat, Raphael Saadiq, YoungBloodz, and Mac 10. “I got like 17 songs in 3 weeks,” she boasts, “I want to do about 30 songs and see which ones I like the most” after which she will decide who she wants to have featured on her songs. “Dallas has a song on my album,” T-boz said, when asked if she or TLC would ever work with Dallas Austin, despite noting that she will be keeping the producers working on her album a secret. Tracks recorded include some alternative Rock tracks she has already recorded and she plans on recording more songs in that direction, which is based heavily on her Nirvana influence.

As far as the possibility of another TLC album, fans will have to hold off on that thought for now. She however mentioned “I can see doing a TLC tour.” TLC’s last studio album; 3D was released on November 12, 2002, months after the death of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in April of 2002. The album underperformed and T-boz had some candid thoughts on that era. “I think the singles that were picked were the wrong singles,” and confessed that 3D was TLC’s “weakest” album. “I probably would have came out with Turntable” dedicating the track to Lisa Lopes, and she also believed that “So So Dumb was a single.”

“I haven’t figured out who I want to be with yet” T-boz responded pertaining to what label she is signed to. Akon, co-CEO of Konvict Muzik is among those who have already expressed interest in signing T-boz. What is certain is that she has a clear cut vision of the direction of her album and she emphasizes “I’m coming,” assuring fans that they will not be disappointed, “I have a lot of goals and dreams still left to fulfill,” and she is not putting an age to when she will retire from the music industry.
