DimensionTLC: 3D's Timeline!

Updated: Nov 24, 2018

05/05/01 We all heard rumblings that TLC was supposed to go in to the studio to begin work on their new album in May. So, has it happened? I talked with Lisa’s brother Ron about this briefly and he said that they have started, but “…not on Lisa’s part yet. I’m glad they are doin’ another album.” And how will they manage releasing the solo(s), new album, and a possible Greatest Hits? “Everything will fall into line.” Ron said that they don’t have many albums left in their contract, so “…let’s hope this next one blows sky high.” Keep your fingers crossed!

05/17/01 In the studio at last. CyberTLC World’s Rachel spoke to Leslie Brathwaite (one of the main engineers from Dallas’s camp that works on the TLC albums) and he had a few things to say. “Two songs finished so far…..on FIRE !!!!!!!!” We aren’t sure as to whether Left Eye has contributed yet, but we do know that Chilli was in the studio yesterday and T-Boz was working today. Leslie says “Its going to be their best yet.” Looks like the wheels are in motion. We’ll keep you up to date!

05/19/01 As we reported two days ago, TLC IS in fact in the studio working on new material. Here’s a bit more info on that topic. Babyface, a long-time collaborator on the TLC albums, was on BET’s 106 & Park a few days ago and also confirmed that the girls are working. He said that he will be going in this summer to work with them.

05/21/01 I was talking to TLC’s drummer, Tom Knight, and the new album was on the list of topics. First off, he said that he was aware that some of the tracks had been cut, and said that as far as he knew, Dallas hasn’t done anything with the girls. They’re in LA working with ‘someone else.’ We heard that ‘someone else’ was Dallas’s engineer Leslie Brathwaite, but maybe there’s another producer at the helm? Interesting. Oh, and another thing. Remember that OTHER FanMail concert appearance that was supposed to air on the WB? Well, Tom (who edited the whole show) said that it was completed a long time ago, and the station has it ready, but just hasn’t aired it yet. Maybe they won’t, it’s been quite a while. Hmmm….

05/31/01 TRL had a little TLC update the other day, and they confirmed to everyone (like we told you already) that the girls are in the studio working on a new album. “TLC is still together, we didn’t break up, we just went through our lil’ changes and it will surprise many people but we are in the studio,” Chilli said. They claim they want to have the group album out by the end of 2001. Then they talked about Lisa’s solo album a bit and the fact that all three girls are reportedly working on solos. And Chilli’s solo? They said that she put it on the back burner so she could focus more on the TLC album. Then the topic of other girl groups came up and Lisa said that “…there is space for other girl groups.” Well, there you have it.

06/07/01 MTV recently interviewed TLC and wrote up an article on the progress of the new album. “It’s going to shock people, but TLC’s back in the studio,” said Chilli, who admits the group has had its share of problems. “It’s all about unity and sticking together and supporting. Because when you don’t do that, you leave room for people to assume we’re not together and don’t like each other and all that. We’re together, we’re always going to be together and we’re working on this TLC record.” According to MTV, Arista records wants to have the new TLC album in stores by November 6th. We all know that Chilli put her album on hold, and here’s how it went down. “It’s funny,” Chilli recalled. “Right when I was about to go in the studio for my solo project, I got a phone call asking me to do another TLC record. And I was like, ‘I was thinking that.’ I want to do a solo project, but I really felt doing TLC again was more of a priority.” And what about the tone of Chilli’s album? She says the vibe of the songs she has completed is upbeat. “I’m going to have ballads, but I’m not going to have anything sad on there. I’m not going to talk about, ‘He broke my heart and Lord I can’t make it now.’ None of that. It’s going to be fun. I have hooks everybody can sing.” You can read more on the interview, including how Chilli reeled Lenny Kravitz in with her sweet potato pie, by heading to www.mtv.com

06/28/01 Rachel talked with Dallas Austin engineer Leslie Brathwaite the other day, and according to him, the girls still only have two tracks done for the new album. To add a twist to all of that, he says that Lisa has NOT been in to record any vocals for the album. Sound like a “FanMail” rerun to anyone? Hmmm….

06/29/01 I talked with Ron Lopes today and asked him about the

new TLC album, and how Lisa hasn’t recorded with the girls yet. “Don’t know if that is true, but Lisa is a rapper which means she can do her parts last if she needs to,” he said. So I take it T-Boz and Chilli will lay their vocals and finish the majority of the song, and have Lisa come in later and add in her rap like they did with “No Scrubs.”

07/04/01 There are a lot of release dates for TLC’s upcoming group effort floating around, but they all seem very fake. In fact, Left Eye was on Hot 97 a few days ago and said that the girls are recording, but to expect the new album to be out anytime soon would be ‘unrealistic.’ She said it would be more realistic to expect it out for NEXT summer – 2002. Oh, and she also said that she hasn’t started working on it yet herself, but the other two have. Sounds like she just backed up everything we’ve been telling you for a while now, huh?

07/04/01 Chilli was on Hot 97.5 in Atlanta the other day, and talked about the new TLC album. According to her, the girls have all been working on t

he new album, and have even been to Miami to work with Dallas Austin and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. Should be hot!

07/19/01 Looks like we have another producer to add to the list of names working on the new TLC album. Producer Saadiq has been busy in the studio producing tracks for our girls in TLC.

08/17/01 Greatest Hits? Well, it’s obviously on hold now while the group works on their new album. “I was so happy to be working on this. We were supposed to release a Greatest Hits record but Arista said they wanted us to do a whole album next,” said T-Boz.

08/17/01 Remember when Lisa challenged Tionne and Rozonda to a solo album duel? Well, it seems that now she’s not too sure about what the outcome would have been. “I’m not absolutely sure whose album would be better, to tell you the truth. I have a lot of confidence, I have high expectations, and I know that outside of the music, the creative aspect is very important. I believe that the ideas I did contribute to TLC were half-done, even though they were very successful. If I’m coming up with the album concepts, and I’m trying to explain the vision, no one can truly see that vision but me. As soon as the record company takes it, it’s just like, ‘Oh, my God – if only they had done it the way I envisioned it.'” With that, said, the question arises. Does Lisa view T-Boz and Chilli as her friends, or as her business partners? “Well, now I think of them more as business partners. I mean, they’re my friends, but probably more just…” and she trails off. Uh huh.

09/01/01 Here’s some news that I originally posted on the VIP section of the Message Board, but has now leaked out via Bop magazine. Remember the Vega and Chilli song “Spread My Wings?” Well, from what I hear, Vega is no longer. The track has been scrapped, but TLC is looking to pick it up and record a version of it with Usher (or another guest they have in mind, they aren’t sure yet.) However, this may not happen, and if it doesn’t, I’m told that this track will be on Chilli’s solo album along with a ‘special guest.’ Interesting. So, all you people with Vega material out there, hold on to it, it doesn’t look like it will be released anytime soon – or ever!

09/05/01 Lisa visited the board a few weeks ago once again, and this time weighed in on her and the group’s relationship. People were making a big deal out of some of her quotes on whether they were friends or business partners, so she set it straight. “OH GOODNESS…PLEASE CALM DOWN. WE ARE ALL HAPPY THE WAY THINGS ARE RIGHT NOW NO MATTER IF IT’S CLASSIFIED AS BUSINESS OR FRIENDSHIP. TECHNICALLY, THIS IS WORK. IT’S HOW WE FEED OUR FAMILIES. IF YOU ARE TRUE TO THE HISTORY OF TLC THEN YOU WOULD KNOW THAT OUTSIDE OF WORK, WE NEVER HUNG OUT. WE ENJOY OUR PERSONAL SPACE & HAVE A LOVE FOR EACH OTHER THAT WILL NEVER DIE! GET REAL…” So yeah, like she says, GET REAL! lol

09/11/01 Here’s an update on the upcoming TLC group disc. So far TLC has been laying down tracks with Babyface, Raphael Saadiq, Dallas, Eddie Hustle (of Usher’s “U Remind Me” fame), and Jam & Lewis. Anyone else? “We want some new kids” says T-Boz. “I want to get Megaherz, who did [P.Diddy’s] ‘Bad Boy For Life.’ their beats are awesome.” Reports are still listing a November release for the album.

10/03/01 T-Boz made an appearance on Hot 97.5 in Atlanta a few weeks ago, and talk came up about the TLC album. First off, Tionne said the recording is going well. According to Ryan Cameron, he heard a song from the upcoming album that is talking about a guy being unfaithful. Tionne wouldn’t talk about it, but she said that Rapheal Saadiq produced the track. Ryan said the song is going to be so good.

10/03/01 So, what can we expect on this new TLC album? According to Lisa, it may be a lot like Ooooooohhh…on the TLC tip. “The focus is to…go back to the old days. And that fun and that energy that you heard on the very first album, that’s what we’re going to put into this album, into the fourth LP.” Should be good!

10/14/01 In a recent interview with Radio1, Lisa was asked about the new TLC album. “We’ve just started working on our fourth LP, but it’s very much in the beginning stages. I’ll be juggling both TLC and my solo career for the next year until TLC release their next album. But we’re still very much together.”

11/09/01 Lisa recently chatted on Lycos and talked a bit about the new TLC disc. She said she is in the studio with Tionne and Chilli (not by herself), and that things are going well. “I’ve created a concept that we all love,” she said. So, do they have an album title picked out? “Yes, indeed! Top secret :-)” And what about her contribution, will she have more raps this time around? “Yes, indeed again!” lol. Also, when asked why TLC didn’t release more than two singles off of FanMail in the US, Lisa had this to say. “The record company decided that there was not a song that was strong enough to be the third single outside of ‘Dear Lie,’ which, in fact, we shot a video for.”

11/09/01 Album update. Missy Elliot was on BET’s 106 & Park today and she said she is working on the new TLC album since they are coming back out. She said she’s been wanting to get on the project forever, so here’s her chance.

11/20/01 I just got done talking with Lisa personally, and asked her about the new TLC album. “TLC is THA BOMB. Album will be the best so far from what We have already and the way things are going.” What about a release date? “We’re shooting for a summer release. 2002.” You heard it straight from the horse’s mouth.

12/18/01 The producers are piling up. Producers that TLC are planning to work with now include Dr. Dre, Missy Elliot, Dallas Austin, Babyface, Jam & Lewis, and Saadiq. According to Ron, the Ja Rule penned track has yet to be recorded, so we’ll have to wait and see about that one. Stay tuned….

01/05/02 With all the good news about TLC working on their new album and everything going smoothly……we hit a snag. According to various sources, T-Boz and Chilli have been hard at work on the new album, while Left Eye is being complicated and not focusing. They claim that while in LA recording, Left Eye has been focusing on her new NINA project, as well as getting her clothing line off the ground. “It seems as if things [with the album] have been movin’ slow lately,” reports www.eyenetics.com,Lisa’s own official website, which adds that Lisa hopes to launch the fashion line soon with top designer Marc Buchanan, founder of Pelle Pelle. We’ll keep you posted.

01/05/02 With T&C in Atlanta, they are resuming work on the new TLC album with producers Eddie Hustle and Babyface. No word on how Lisa will fit into this scenario, since she is in LA. However, from people I have talked to, no raps have been heard by Left Eye on any of the new TLC tracks. According to radio stations, Saadiq is the ONLY producer that TLC has actually worked with thus far and have completed any material. But oh…….get ready for some guest appearances 🙂 Hint hint. So it looks as though while TLC were recording in LA…….Lisa was working on other things altogether. On a positive note, however, it could just be that any tracks Left Eye laid raps for are still incomplete. Next time I speak with her I will find out the whole deal for you all. As of now, the group only has THREE tracks completed…….with Saadiq.

01/05/02 Lisa keeps her word. I e-mailed her about two months ago letting her know that the fans were very disappointed in the current OFFICIAL TLC fansite. She said she was going to look into it and see what she could do to fix the problem. Right now, TLC will be meeting with Pileated Pictures, the creators of Eyenetics, to possibly work on the TLC site as well. Stay tuned!

01/13/02 Here’s an update on the up-and-coming TLC album. I talked with GA, the ex-member of ABC, who is Dallas’s cousin……..and the TLC album came up. He said that Dallas hasn’t done anything recent with TLC, but instead has been working with Christina Aguilera. He said that Dallas did work with TLC back a few months ago, and that “Some stuff was done with TLC, but I think they stopped workin’ on their album for a little bit.” And what about the new Saadiq and Dallas tracks? “I heard some of their new stuff and its really good.” I hear that a track has a male rapper on it…….but not sure which yet. When I asked about this track, I was told that “The song that I heard had a mid-tempo beat and it didn’t have a rapper on it. Hopefully Arista will know what to do with it.” We then talked about Lisa’s solo album. “I’ve heard better. I think she could have done a lot better than what she did. Me personally, I think TLC is better as a group than individual artists. But this Nina stuff, I don’t know where she is going with that.” So everyone so far has said that the new TLC material is pretty hot…….

01/21/02 Why the break in recording the new TLC album? Well, word has it that T-Boz is ill again with sickle-cell, and needed some time off. As we all know, during the break Lisa has been working on her clothing line and other ventures. Ron told me the other day that she was at a photo shoot, so maybe we’ll be seeing her ‘solo’ on the cover of an upcoming magazine. I’ll keep you posted.

01/28/02 Another hitch in the TLC album this time around. An article last week reported that Left Eye quit working on the TLC album and would no longer participate in the project. The article claims that according to Arista representatives, “the other two members of TLC just want to complete this album.”After much discussion, all of a sudden, it was announced that Left-Eye is no longer willing to record new material for TLC. However, it also says that Left Eye has enough material in the vaults (past material) to be put onto the new TLC album and not have her record anything new. “Arista would like to express their disappointment in Lisa’s decision. This is a loss in any record company’s eyes since TLC has seen worldwide success,” according to Arista representatives.“The show will go on, and the girls are excited for their next release and their greatest hits package afterwards.” Representatives for Left-Eye and TLC are expected to release a statement detailing the situation. Righhhhhhtt. So, what is the real story? Well, Lisa visited the Message Board to set it all straight. “SO, THE ARTICLE ABOUT ME NOT RECORDING WITH TLC ANY LONGER IS A BUNCH OF CRAP…NOT UNLESS THIS IS A SET UP OF SOME SORT. YOU HAVEN’T HEARD THIS FROM ME…… WELL, YES YOU HAVE, BUT THE REAL SCOOP IS AS FOLLOWS…ARISTA BREECHED BY NEVER PAYING ME MY BACK-END MONEY (THE BALANCE THAT WAS DUE TO ME FOR RECORDING THE ALBUM). WHAT CHEAP TRICKS! WHICH LEFT ME FREE TO TALK TO OTHER RECORD COMPANIES. BUT… BEFORE I CAN OFFICIALLY SIGN ELSEWHERE, ARISTA HAS TO GRANT ME A RELEASE ON PAPER. L.A. REID (AND STAFF) KEEP MAKING PROMISES SAYING THE RELEASE IS NOT A PROBLEM. YET, I DON’T HAVE ONE. BUT THEY WANT ME TO FINISH THE TLC ALBUM. I HAVE REFUSED TO CONTINUE WORKING ON THE TLC PROJECT UNTIL THEY SIGN THE DANG PAPERS. IF SOMEONE FROM ARISTA TRULY MADE THESE FALSE STATEMENTS, THEN THAT IS NOT A GOOD SIGN AND THEY DESERVE WHATEVER THE RED PANTHER BRINGS TO THEM! IT’S A HOSTAGE SITUATION ON BOTH ENDS, BUT THE SNAKES AND RATS NEED TO LET IT GO. THEY RELEASED MY ALBUM OVERSEAS AND MADE MONEY AND DID NOT PAY ME. SOMETHING REAL SNAKEY IS GOING ON AND I DON’T LIKE IT ONE BIT! IF THEY RELEASE VERSES I RECORDED FROM PREVIOUS MATERIAL, THEN THEY ARE CHEATING US ALL. BUT, I WILL PREVAIL. NINA WILL RECORD REGARDLESS. REGARDLESS OF WHAT THEY SAY. REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU THINK. REGARDLESS OF ANY HATERS AS WELL. I DIDN’T DO ALL OF THIS CLEANSING AND GETTING SKINNY FOR NOTHING! WHAT I HAVE TO DELIVER WILL GET HEARD. AND WHY AM I WITH THA ROW? HMMM… YOU THINK ABOUT IT. IF I CAN HELP IT, THE WHOLE WORLD WOULD BE IN THA BUSH CLEANSING THEIR DIRTY MINDS AND MOUTHS AND ACTIONS!!! SO, HOW’S LIFE? GOOD I HOPE! IF IT’S SUCKING RIGHT ABOUT NOW I RECOMMEND THAT YOU LOOK IN THE MIRROR AND BE THANKFUL! PEACE OUT AND BE SAFE!!! UNTIL NEXT TIME…”

01/28/02 With all of the drama about Left Eye not recording these days, the fans have begun to wonder if she has even completed ANYTHING with TLC. When rumors began circulating that she hadn’t done any TLC material, she had to set it straight on the board. “WHERE DID YOU HEAR THAT GARBAGE FROM? HAVE YOU NOT BEEN READING THE NEWS SECTION?” lol. So basically, that goes to say that YES SHE HAS COMPLETED MATERIAL WITH TLC! Garbage lol.

01/28/02 It appears as though Left Eye is very disturbed about the article that was printed, which placed the blame on her for not recording on the new TLC album. So what does she make out of all of this? “AFTER THINKING ABOUT THE ARTICLE SOME MORE (CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHICH PAPER IT WAS PRINTED IN), THIS CAME TO MIND…L.A. REID IS UNDER A MICROSCOPE. THE PEOPLE WHO OWN THESE COMPANIES SEE BLACK AND WHITE, THEY READ NUMBERS. HE SPENT BOO-COO MONEY ON ADVANCES (WHITNEY, TLC, ETC.) AND HE HAS TO MAKE A RETURN ON THAT MONEY OR HE IS OUT. SO… THIS COULD VERY WELL BE A PLOT TO SHIFT ALL OF THE BLAME ON ME FOR NOT TURNING IN THE TLC RECORD YET, WHICH WAS AS UNREALISTIC AS ICE IN HELL ANYWAY. LIKE I SAID, SOMETHING SNAKEY IS GOING ON AND I DON’T LIKE IT.”

01/28/02 Here’s some exclusive information for you to chew on……we bring you the title of one of the TLC songs from the upcoming album. Interestingly enough…….it’s called “So Dumb.” lol. Also, people have heard that Lisa hasn’t done any raps for the new TLC album. Not true. Here, check this schedule update out from Lisa. TLC has completed 10 new tracks. Of those 10 tracks, Lisa is on 5. They have another 5 more tracks to record. And what about the release? Lisa said she didn’t know, that it would all be up to LA.

02/23/02 Ready for another song title? Well…….how about “Whoopty Whoo.” That’s the name of a track from the upcoming TLC disc. Add that to “So Dumb,” and you now have the names of two tracks from the TLC album, both courtesy of CyberTLC World. Also, I talked to Lisa 2 weeks ago about that song title, and I asked her if there had been anymore progress on the TLC disc since they stopped recording (if you remember, Lisa said she wouldn’t record until Arista signed the paper to let her leave the label.) “No more progress from Me. I don’t think the group has been in.” Awwwww…

02/23/02 In the new issue of Sister 2 Sister magazine, T-Boz talks a bit about the new TLC album. “Right now I’m in with Raphael Saadiq. This is the second time. We went in a couple months ago and we did a couple of songs that we really liked, so we wanted to work with him again…so we are.” Dallas Austin is also doing some tracks she said, along with “Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. We have two tracks we did with Eddie Hustle. He did the first single for Usher. And Babyface, I start tomorrow. Those are the people that we’ve worked with so far. I don’t want to say names, you know, of everybody else that we worked with and then they might not make [the album.]”

03/12/02 Here’s another update on the TLC album, along with a rumor. First off, there is a rumor going around that London Radio has been playing a song by TLC called “Alright” from their upcoming album. I’m currently checking into this and will let you know. However, it seems very unlikely since TLC is not done with the album, has not begun promoting it, and does not even have a release date. Lisa’s brother Ron said that “From what I know TLC still have to record more songs, Lisa is on about 5 songs so far. Plus its been a minute since TLC have been in the studio, but nothing has changed as far as plans to put one out. My honest opinion [is that] I don’t think it will be out this summer, probably not this year, but we’ll see.”

04/09/02 According to various press releases from Arista Records, the company is giving a tentative date of September 2002 for the new TLC album. However, as Lisa said, TLC album dates change ALL THE TIME! Never take anything for fact, this is only a very early guesstimate as to when the album may be released. The press release also states that it is unsure whether this will be the new TLC album, or a Greatest Hits disc due to the health of T-Boz. At the same time, LA Reid is supposed to be visiting Japan to present two new tracks to the distributor by TLC, “Girls Talk” and “Good Lovin’.” Add these track titles to “So Dumb,” “Whoopty Whoo,” and the bootlegged “It’s Alright,” and you get five track titles 🙂 According to Arista, the album is about 60% complete. Stay tuned…

04/09/02 For those of you who don’t know, the ‘new’ TLC track “It’s Alright” may not even be so new. The track was bootlegged, and in fact may not even be new material! To me it sounds like it has a FanMail era sound, but who knows for sure. We’ll keep you posted…

04/09/02 With Usher and Chilli admittedly dating, it’s a given that he has heard some of the new TLC material they are working on. His thoughts? “I actually heard a few tracks and I’m telling you, you guys are not ready for it,” he said. “You will see the originators. The Destiny’s Childs, I’m feeling them, but you know where they came from: the TLC tip.” Usher said he would also be open to a duet with his girlfriend, Chilli, when she has finished work on the record.

04/09/02 It looks as though Brandy’s new husband, Robert Smith, will be working with TLC on the new album as well, and wants your help! Robert is preparing to go in the studio with TLC and he is looking for a hit song. Do you think you have the song that will keep them at the top of the charts? If so, Robert wants to hear from you. If you are interested in submitting your tracks for the upcoming TLC album, clickhere. Good luck, and hopefully the Robert Smith track will be as hot as the tracks on Brandy’s new album!

Lisa passes away April 25, 2002

07/03/02 Recently, Rodney Jerkins described a ballad he did on the upcoming TLC album as “the most beautiful ballad that I’ve ever done in my life.” In the same article from MTV.com, Chilli is doing a song with Carlos Santana called “Wishful Thinking.”

07/03/02 Here you have it! All the titles CyberTLC currently knows that could be on the fourth TLC album: “Whoopty Whoo”, “So Dumb”, “Good Lovin'”, “Girls Talk”, “It’s On”, “It’s Alright”, “Party Time”, “Who’s It Gonna Be”, and”Us.” You read it here first!

07/03/02 A couple articles floating around today saying that T-Boz and Chilli are completing the fourth album. Grammy-winning songwriter-producer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, who’s producing the album, tells the Associated Press that the group has “held up pretty well” as they try to wrap up work on the disc. The album will include tracks recorded by Lopes and is tentatively set to be released this fall. “They feel like they are doing it still in spirit with Lisa,” he told the AP, adding that the recording process has been difficult at times. “There will be ups and downs throughout. There will be times when they’ll feel it more than others.” Lisa’s spokesman, Jay Marose, said he had heard four finished tracks from the next TLC album and said “they’re the best work they’ve ever done.” “[At one point] I think they really hit a rough patch and they just got back to a point where they were doing this for a love of TLC,” he said. Edmonds tells the AP that many of the songs were recorded with Lopes, so her voice will be heard throughout the album.

07/10/02 I just spoke with Lisa’s brother Ron, and got an update on how things are going down. What about the TLC album? Well, Ron has heard it, and said that he likes it. In fact, the recording is pretty much done with, and the girls will be submitting it to the label soon. We all know how TLC is notorious for being late, but Ron said that “for once they might be on time.” lol. And if they are, the album is scheduled for October. Lisa is on 4 tracks on the album, but will probably be added to more by the total completion.

07/15/02 Here’s a little album update. I was talking with Michael Alford, a close friend of Tionne’s, who has heard three of the new TLC tracks, including “So Dumb,” and said that “…I love them. I love ‘So Dumb,’ that’s going to be one of my favorites. The album is going to be a very big hit.” Oh, and Lisa wasn’t on the three that Michael had heard, so that means no Lisa on “So Dumb,” unless they add some raps in later, which they have said they are going to do. However, Lisa was working on some tracks of her own for the new album (as she has done in the past, but her tracks were all rejected), which Michael also heard and said may make the cut, or they may possibly use pieces of them for raps in other tracks. Any other details? “Can’t say anything yet, it’s very hush and Tionne would kill me.” Stay tuned 🙂

07/19/02 Thanks to our friend Ceddrick on the message board, who phoned Arista Records. They mentioned to him that the release date for the TLC album is October 8, 2002.

07/30/02 According to HMV Japan, the fourth TLC album will be titled “3D.” 3 Dimensional? 3 Divas? Who knows. We’ll have to wait and see. We’ll label this a rumor. Also, the album will be released on October 2 there apparently.

07/30/02 07/30/02 Thanks going out to machu on the message board. TLC3D.com is registered to Arista Records! It’s been registered since June 5.

TLC’S ‘3D’ WAS RELEASED ON NOVEMBER 12, 2002. It debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200 selling 143,000 copies the first week. It was met with generally positive reviews but went on to be TLC’s least commercially successful album.
